ZHOB: Three children of the same family died while their parents sustained injuries after the roof of their house caved in here in remote Khwasti area of the district.
According to Levies officials, three children of the same family have lost their lives when their mud-and-stone house collapsed due to heavy rains and snowfall in the area. The area people soon after the incident rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies of children from the debris. Tehsildar Muhammad Hanif and JUI leader Haji Muhammad Khan Kibzai visited the scene and expressed their sympathies.
Earlier in January, at least six members of a family including three children had lost their lives, when the roof of their mud-and-stone house caved in in Killi Shahabzai. The room they were residing in had developed cracks due to torrential rains that resulted in collapse.
On the same day in city area, ta family was sleeping in a room of their mud house, when its roof also caved in during pre dawn. The neighbors rushed there to rescue the victims. A women and her three-year-old child died instantly while her husband had got serious injuries.
Meanwhile, due to excessive rainfall and land sliding Zhob-D.I Khan higway has been blocked for the last three days in mountainous area of Dhana Sar area. Long queues of vehicles trapped due to land sliding on highway – linking Balochistan with Khyber Pashtoonkhwa province.
