PESHAWAR: Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Peshawar Youth Badminton Championship 2018 will begin here at Tariq Wadood Badminton Hall, Qayyum Stadium today (Monday).
Asfandyar khattak, Director Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be the chief guest. The organizing committee of the tournament will comprise of Amjid Khan, Sadaqat Shah, Hayat Khan, Nadeem Khan, Shehzad Khan and Faraz Anwar.
Tournament will be played in three categories including Men’s Single, Women’s Single and Under-15 Boys Single. Amjad Khan, Secretary KP Badminton Association has said that steps have been taken to improve the sport at the grass roots level and also provide a platform to the youngsters where they prepare themselves for the international events. He said that it was because of these steps that KP badminton players are shining in every tournament played in the country.
