Panama case has weakened federal govt: Khuhro

LARKANA (PPI): Sindh Minister for Food Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that Nawaz Sharif is not an accused now but he has become a culprit as he has failed to clear himself during last one and half year.

He said: “If PML-Nawaz appointed disqualified person as its party chief then such law can also be challenged in the court. Khuhro advised PML-Nawaz to also look into the moral factors while appointing new party head.

He said Panama case had weakened the federal government and was why issue of Rangers deployment surfaced in accountability court today (Monday). He said Rangers could only be called by the judge through interior ministry and if it had not been done, then it meant our institutions were not yet independent.

He said interior minister also said that he did not called rangers that was why it should be known how they arrived. Khuhro was talking to journalists at local press club here .

PPP provincial chief said that demand of early elections by Imran Khan was disgrace of the people’s mandate and until & unless advice of the prime minister was not received, assemblies could not be dissolved.

Khuhro said those who were supporting Khan had now taken off their hands and now only failure was written in his fate. Khuhro said that there was no chance of martial law in the country, adding PPP believed in democracy and we remained successful in the elections in the past and will contest again solely.
