13 terrorists held in CTD operations

ISLAMABAD: In view of possible incidents of terrorism in the province, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab in its intelligence-based operations carried out in several cities, has arrested 13 terrorists.

Spokesman for the CTD said on Saturday that operations were carried out in Lahore, Attock, Bahawalnagar, Jhelum, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi. Giving further details, he said that five terrorists were picked up from Attock and three from Lahore. The spokesman elaborated that those taken into custody were Khurshid, Rasheed, Irfan, Luqman, Waheed, Rizwan, Amir and Wajid, and they were planning to attack government offices and other key installations.
