Lahore: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 139 connections while imposing fine of Rs.40.75 million and 194 under billing cases processed
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 5 connections on illegal use of gas and another 9 on use of compressor, 11 Under billing cases have been processed and amount of Rs 35.84 booked against gas theives and under billing cases.In Bahawlpur the company disconnected 4 connections on the use of compressor and 1 on illegal use of gas.In Multan the company disconnected 2 connections on illegal use of gas and 55 Under billing cases have been processed and fine of Rs 0.1 Million imposed against gas pilferers.
In Peshawar and Karak, the company disconnected 45 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal. The regional team also lodged 2 FIRs against gas thieves and also imposed fine of Rs 1.40 against gas theives. In Rawalpindi the regional team disconnected 38 gas connection on illegal use and 3 Under billing cases processed. In Mardan 30 under billing cases processed while imposing fine of Rs 0.05 million. The regional team in Islamabad disconnected 6 connections on illegal use of gas.
In Sialkot, 1 Under billing case processed and imposing fine of Rs 0.32 million against gas theft and Under billing cases. The team in Gujranwala 32 under billing cases have been processed and 2 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 2 on the use of compressor and amount of Rs 0.19 against gas pilferers. In Sahiwal, one connection was disconnected on illegal use of gas and 2 on compressor use. In Faisalabad 17 under billing cases processed and 1 connection was disconnected on illegal use of gas. Fine of Rs. 0.10 million was also imposed against gas pilferers.
In Sheikhupura disconnected 18 connections on illegal use of gas and two on compressor use while 45 under billing cases processed and fine of Rs 2.75 million against gas theft and Under billing cases. The team in Gujrat 1 connection was disconnected on illegal use of gas.
