Attention notice submitted in PA

PESHAWAR: Alleged irregularities in recruitments and violation of rules in the Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak found their way to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly as two lawmakers submitted a call attention notice in the assembly to discuss the issue on the floor of the house.

According to the said call attention notice, a copy available with The Frontier Post said that despite a ban on recruitment by Higher Education Department Peshawar, a former acting vice Chancellor and current acting Registrar of varsity illegally recruited at least 100 class IV and 120 clerical staffers.

The notice yet to come up for discussion alleged that the acting registrar advertised ten posts for Junior clerks and six posts for keypunch operators but the administration illegally hired 120 staffers without any requirements and giving a huge loss to national exchequer.

The document signed MPA Ziaullah Afridi and Aurangzeb Nalhota alleged that the acting registrar also fired varsity employees who raised voice against the irregularities.

The call attention notice also alleges irregularities in land procurement for the University campus and transferring funds to Deputy Commissioner Karak account in violation of rules and incurred losses to the university.

The notice sought the attention of the provincial assembly to take up the KKKUK issues on the floor of the house.
