A Pakistani, Afghani citizens identify coronavirus positive

LANDI KOTAL: A Pakistan national and an Afghan citizen were found coronavirus while crossing the Torkham border here on last night. District Health Officer Tariq Hayat told on Thursday that the health officials, deployed for detecting coronavirus were executing their duties, when they detected two persons including a Pakistani and an Afghani citizen.

The suspected Covid 19, Afghan citizen, known as Muhammad Kamran s/o Muhammad Arsala, resident of Kabul, Afghanistan, who had recently returned from China, was deported to Afghanistan by the immigration officials while the Pakistani national identified as Muhammad Asghar s/o Muhammad Razaq, resident of Islamabad was shifted to police hospital, Peshawar, the official told. It has been revealed that Muhammad Asghar is an employ in Pakistani embassy in Kabul.

Keeping in view spread of the coronavirus across the world, the health department has deployed medical teams at Torkham border and separate booths have been set up where all passengers coming from Afghanistan were observed through thermal scanners guns round the clock. So far 20 cases Covid 19 positive have been detected in Pakistan.
