Ad-hoc lecturers yet to be regularized by KP govt

PESHAWAR: Ad-hoc lecturers of various government colleges have complained that despite protests and sit-ins for their regularization, the provincial government has not yet resolved their issue.

Talking to media on Sunday, office bearers of all college funds lecturer associations while sharing their grievances saying that they have been teaching in different colleges of the province since 10 years but could not be regularized so far. Despite protests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Bani Gala, a residence of PTI Chairman in Islamabad, the KP government did not resolve their genuine issue.

They informed that neither provincial government nor PTI Chairman Imran Khan bothered to listen their problems and solve it in better interests of them. It is injustice and discriminatory attitude of KP coalition government with ad-hoc lecturers that all the contract and project based employees have been regularized by latter but still they are denied this right, they added.

Though, they have been teaching since last 10 years and being paid Rs 25,000 from college fund which does not meet their requirements in current circumstance and price hike, ad-hoc lecturers regretted.

They stated that their skills and capabilities along with 10 years services are not accepted by KP government and it is not interest to bestow them rights.

Aggrieved teachers warned they would ablaze themselves in front of residence of PTI Chairman in Islamabad if KP government did not resolve the issue in coming days.
