Afghan Minister meets with Malaysian envoy

KABUL (Ariana News): Acting Minister of Public Health Qalandar Ibad, during his visit to Malaysia, met with the country’s special envoy for Afghanistan in Kuala Lumpur.
The Ministry of Public Health said in a statement on Friday that in the meeting, Ebad said that Afghanistan holds significance as the heart of Asia, and it will not pose any threat for other countries since it is an independent country.
He added that the doors of Afghanistan will always be open for any kind of positive engagement.
On the issue of drug addicts, Ebad said that the West and the previous government in Afghanistan could not address the problem in 20 years, but the Islamic Emirate treated the drug addicts in a short period of time.
He stated that currently thousands of men and women are working in the Ministry of Public Health and are receiving training in various fields.
He added that Malaysia is a friendly and brotherly Muslim country and they will continue their efforts for permanent cooperation in the field of health.
According to the statement, Dato Ahmad Azam, Special Representative of Malaysia for Afghanistan, assured that his country will cooperate with Afghanistan in other sectors besides health.
He called the visit of IEA’s acting health minister important and expressed his views on the effectiveness of more stable relations between the two countries.
