Anti-polio campaign kicks-off

PESHAWAR: Three day anti-polio vaccination campaign in three district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be kick-off  today on Monday and around five lack sixty three thousand children will be vaccinated in the campaign for which all the efforts has been finalized.

This was announce in a meeting chair by Emergency Operation Centre coordinator Muhammad Atif Rehman at EOC centre KP flanked by EPI director Dr. Ikram Shah, UNICEF team leader Dr. Johar Khan, BMGF technical focal person Dr. Imtiaz and other high official were participated.

The campaign will be held in three district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Chitral, Dir Lower and Dir Upper for which all the arrangement has been finalized and around five lack and sixty three thousand children will be vaccinated.

Around 2109 polio teams were constituted for the three days campaign in which 1842 mobile teams, 150 fixed team, 84 transit teams and 33 roaming teams while 464 areas in charge will work around the clock to monitor the three days anti-polio campaign in these three districts.

On the occasion EOC KP coordinator Muhammad Atif Rehman shows his satisfaction over the arrangement of three days polio campaign and said that the entire department should work together to made successful the campaign.

He further said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to end the polio from KP and doing all their resources to made it possible and provide a polio free environment to the next generation.
