APS martyred remembered

TIMERGARA: Victims of the Army Public School Peshawar were remembered in Lower Dir here on Saturday.

Different functions in this regard were held to commemorate the APS Peshawar martyrs on the 3rd anniversary of the incident. The big function was arranged at the Frontier Corps Public School Timergara with Commandant Dir Task Force Colonel Aamir Shehzad in the chair.

The function was attended by students, parents, teachers, government officials and area elders. Students presented tableaus, national songs, speeches and na’at. The venue was decorated with pictures of the APS martyred students and teachers. The students paid rich tributes to all martyrs of the APS and offered fateha khwani for them.

Addressing the function Colonel Aamir said the nation could not forget the APS incident that united the nation on a single stand against terrorism. He said the Pakistan army with public support succeeded to root out militancy. He urged the students to make reading their hobby and work hard. He said they could defeat militancy with the force of pen. The school Principal Abdul Hameed Jan also spoke on the occasion.

Civil society organizations also arranged a function at Shah Baz Shaheed at Ouch and floral wreaths were laid on his tomb. The ANP Lower Dir president Hussain Shah Yousafzai, heads of Khwendo Kor Ibrash Pasha and other social activists were present on the occasion. School’s students paid homage to the APS martyrs and offered fateha for them.
