BISEB organizes awareness walk regarding cheating

LAKKI MARWAT: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bannu (BISEB) with collaboration of education department held an awareness walk against cheating and unfair means in examinations in Lakki city on Tuesday. The educational board chairman Jehandad Khan and DEO Bakhtullah Shah led the walk which started from Government Shaheed Muhammad Ghassan Khan Centennial Model High School Lakki. After passing through old kachery road the walk culminated at Qazi Ishfaq chowk on main bus stand.

BISE Bannu controller of examination Inamaullah Shah, SDEO Lakki Qadeer Shah, ADO sports Nisar Muhammad, Mutahidda Mahaz Asateza president Maulana Tameezuddin, religious scholars, heads of schools and people from different walks of life were in attendance. The participants carried banners highlighting messages about hazards of cheating in examinations. On the occasion, Mr Jehandad said that cheating and use of unfair means in examinations paralysed mental skills and creativity among students. He said that all segments of society would have play effective role for eradication of cheating and copying so as to save the future of our children.

The schools’ bosses should highlight harmful effects of cheating during morning assembly lectures”, he maintained and asked the teachers should to advise students to avoid using unfair means in exams during classroom activity. The chairman of educational board also requested religious scholars and prayers’ leaders to help them curb cheating in examination. “Cheating is academic dishonesty and academic dishonesty is a crime”, said DEO Bakhtullah Shah, calling upon teachers to come forward and stop students from committing the crime of using unfair means in examination. He said that by promoting transparency in examinations we could lead our students to competence and success.
