Chitral uplift top priority of PTIP: Parvez

F.P. Report

CHITRAL: If we come in power, we will give Pakistan real freedom and save them from the defect of external loans. Almighty Allah has bestowed everything in Pakistan, but due to the incompetent rulers, we are still forced to beg for loans from IMF.

These views were expressed by former Federal Minister for Defense and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Mahmood Khan in a public meeting at Chitral. They said that if we had a chance again to establish our government in KP, we would also focused on backward districts like Chitral and track them on the path of development. Pervez Khattak said that when I go abroad and see the life standard of these people, I am very sad to see the difference in Pakistan.

“We left Imran Khan because he had no policy or plan for development of the country. Secondly, he started hateful activity of the Pak army who made sacrifices to defend this country.”

The two former Chief ministers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrived here on the invitation of Prince Khalid Pervez, chairman of Tehsil Drosh, who, along with his seat, resigned from the Pakistan Peoples Party and announced to join the Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf Parliamentarians.

Speaking on the occasion, Prince Khalid Pervez said to the public meeting, that after regular consultation with my people, I decided to join PTI P leading by Pervez Khattak’s and serve for Chitral. He said that the people of Chitral want real freedom and development, so they trust me on and participated in this public meeting on such a large scale.

He said that the people of Chitral never forget who benefit or serve them. Pervez Khattak gave us a second district during his tenure and now if he gets the opportunity again, it is hoped that the current backwardness of Chitral will not remain same and development works will be started in Chitral.

Former Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said, “We were working on the construction of roads from Dir to Chitral , but our government was prematurely finished. So those projects remained incomplete. And work will be assumed on these developmental schemes again when we success once again in up coming election, “We will not announce at present but when we came in power, you will see that we do not deliver verbal promises but work practical.” On this occasion, the Kalash woman also presented them Chitrali caps according to her traditions.

A large number of people from both districts of Lower and Upper Chitral participated in this public meeting. On this occasion, former CMs also met with the delegation of the Contractor Association, Maine Association and the Councilors Association in Chitral to address their problems. The former Chief ministers both assured that they never left any stone un-turn to resolve the issues of the people of Chitral.
