CJ: 4 out 5 policemen at CJ residence recruited on bribe

PESHAWAR: A divisional bench comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Justice Waqar ordered Superintendent of Police (SP) Training Shakeel and Sub Inspector (SI) retired Malak Zada to resolve their dispute through negotiation otherwise the court will decide it, on Tuesday.

The counsel argued that registration of First Information Report (FIR) was ordered against SP Training Branch on manipulated ground and added that he neither tortured retired SI Malak Zada.

However, SI (R) Malak Zada’s lawyer argued that SP Training had tortured brutally his client, while Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan inquired regarding the issue between policemen.

The counsel argued that SI (R) Malak Zada had evidences regarding bribe and corruption of SP Training Shakeel Khan along with officers taken for recruitment in police.

In the meantime, Chief Justice PHC Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan observed that it is correct that recruitment in police department conducted by means of kickback as 4 out 5 policemen at his residence are recruited on bribe.

Chief Justice remarked that the dispute wouldn’t be raised if you (SP) provided his share to SI (R) but likely Malak Zada was tortured after demanding his benefits in the procedure.

Although, SP Training Branch Shakeel Khan argued that there is no malpractice nor any SI (R) Malak Zada was tortured while SI (R) informed that court can see signs of torture on his body as well as medical report.

The divisional bench comprising of Chief Justice PHC Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Justice Waqar Ahmad granted opportunity to both parties for settlement of the dispute otherwise court will decide it on merit.

It is worthy to mention that Additional District and Session Judge Peshawar Bakht Alam early ordered initiation of legal proceedings against both parties.

PHC orders chairman FBR for reply: PHC’s divisional bench comprising of Justice Abdul Shakoor and Justice Syed Arshad Ali ordered chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for submission of reply regarding pension to widow sister of civil servant named Muhammad Nadeem passed away during service.

The counsel Malak Shahbaz Khan advocate argued that Muhammad Nadeem was died during service but he was unmarried.

He added that the pension benefit would be provided to elder widow sister or sister-in-law as per law.

PHC’s divisional bench ordered federal’s government and chairman FBR for submission of reply in this regard while adjourned furthering hearing.
