CJP approves heads of committees for administrative, judicial affairs of SC

ISLAMABAD (APP): The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) has approved the heads of committees for administrative and judicial affairs of the Supreme Court.
The list of committees constituted by the Supreme Court had also been placed on the SC website.
The Chief Justice would head the committee constituted to decide the appeals pleading for in-chamber while Justice Sajjad Ali Shah would hear the matters pertaining to withdrawal of petitions and appeals.
Justice Yahya Afridi would look after the affairs regarding amendments in petitions and applications.
The Chief Justice would head the committee responsible for the financial responsibilities of the Supreme Court, expenses, medical bills and other financial matters. The Supreme Court Building Committee consists of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah.
The Supreme Court Research Center Affairs Committee consists of Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Munib Akhtar while the Law Clerkship Program Committee consists of Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mazhar Alam Mandokhail.
The Advocate on Record Enrollment Committee would be headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa and comprising Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Yahya Khan Afridi and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin.
The Chief Justice had also assigned important responsibilities to the judges of the Supreme Court for monitoring special courts and anti-terrorism courts as Justice Qazi Faez Isa was appointed to look after Balochistan’s anti-terrorism courts and Justice Tariq Masood would monitor Islamabad’s anti-terrorism courts.
Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan was appointed as monitoring judge for Punjab’s anti-terrorism courts and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan was appointed monitoring judge of anti-terrorism courts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Justice Sajjad Ali Shah was appointed monitoring judge of anti-terrorism courts of Sindh.
The committee on speedy justice consisted of Justice Tariq Masood and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
The Supreme Court Departmental Selection Committee was headed by Justice Ijaz-Ul-Ahsan.
The Supreme Court IT Affairs Committee was headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa and comprising of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Munib Akhtar.
The Executive Committee of the Pakistan Federal Judicial Academy consisted of Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Munib Akhtar. Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan was responsible for overseeing the medical affairs, dispensaries, fitness centers and other related matters of the Supreme Court.
