DEC shares fresh voters verification plan

BUNER: District Elections Commissioner (DEC) Jehanzeb Khan on Tuesday shared the fresh voters and polling stations verification plan with the heads of political parties, district government, district administration, police and education departments in a meeting was held at conference hall in Daggar.

The deputy commissioner Zareeful Maani, district police officer Mohammad Irshad Khan Yousafzai, District Nazim Dr. Obaidullah Khan, District Naib Nazim Yousaf Ali Khan, ASDO Amanul Mulk, PTI leaders Bakh Raad Khan, Riaz Khan, QWP leader professor Hamidur Rehman Khan,Jamaat Islami leaders Ghulam Mustaffa Khan and Abdul Younas Khan, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Kamran Khan, Awami

National Party leader Shujjat Ali Khan, JUI-F leader Maulana Saeedur Rehman Mufakir were present in the meeting. The DEC informed that 266 male teachers were assigned the task of verification of the 26834 fresh country national identity cards was in progress from 15 this month and to be completed till February 8 next month.

He continued that registration of fresh votes based on country national identity cards will be continued till announcement of the elections schedule from the chief elections commissioner.

Responding to questions the DEC confirmed that based on last available data total registered voters figure was 409753 out of them 181066 were female and total polling stations were 352 while 39 more were recommended this time to be counted with the precious numbers based on verification.
