Deployment of Armenian troops in Karabakh raised eyebrows in Azerbaijan

F.P. Report

BAKU: The complete withdrawal of the remnants of the Armenian armed forces from the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, as provided for by a trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020 by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the Russian Federation and the Prime Minister of Armenia, was not ensured.

Recently, there has been a gross violation by Armenia of the provisions of the trilateral statement, accompanied by the transfer of personnel of its armed forces to the territory of Azerbaijan, where the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation are temporarily deployed, the establishment of new Armenian posts near the settlements of Mukhtarkand and Shushakend, as well as in the territories to the east of the administrative borders Kalbajar and Lachin regions.

The Azerbaijani Army is taking adequate measures to prevent such phenomena.

The Armenian side deliberately resorts to such provocations, escalating the situation.

All this is happening against the background of the irresponsible and provocative order of the new Minister of Defense of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan on the use of force by the Armenian army by any means. Let us remind that the former Minister of Defense of Armenia David Tonoyan also came out with a provocative military doctrine called “New Wars, New Territories”. His shameful fate is well known.

Adequate measures will be taken by the Azerbaijani Army.

In accordance with the provisions of the trilateral statement, the Russian peacekeepers must put an end to the deployment of the armed forces of Armenia in the places of their temporary deployment in the territory of Azerbaijan.
