Desecration of Holy Quran: KPBC observes black day, announced strike

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council (KPBC) has observed black-day on Monday while announced strike from court proceedings today (on Tuesday) against the desecration of Holy Quran in Kalyas area of Charsadda and Sweden.

The legal fraternity wear black strip as protest to mark Monday as Black Day for Muslims against the desecration Holy Quran in Kalyas and Sweden while demanded concrete steps to eliminate offense in the future.

KPBC vice chairman Zar Badshah Khan and chairman Executive Committee Syed Mubashir Shah announced the strike on Tuesday from court proceedings while argued legal fraternity to condemned the heinous crime. They condemned Swedish government for allowing such act and demanded stern actions against the culprits because the act has hurt emotion billion Muslims across the globe.

KPBC argued government of Pakistan to uphold the issue to brotherly Muslim nations and initiate collective efforts from Organization of Islamic Countries platform to compel west and others for stopping such act in future.

Moreover, Peshawar Bar Association also condemned desecration of Holy Quran and demanded to call back Ambassador from Sweden as well as curtain relationship with the Swedish government.

Peshawar High Court Bar Association president Tariq Afridi, Lajbar Khan, PBA president Ishfaq Khalil and Iftikhar Samandar along with other condemned the act while claimed that it is provocation of Muslim Ummah.
