Eidul Azha likely on June 29

 KARACHI: The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee will meet on June 19 for moon-sighting of Zilhaj.

The meeting of Ruet-i-Hilal committee will be chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad at the meteorological department office in Karachi. The announcement of moon will be made after the meeting.

Other zonal committees will also meet in Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Islamabad simultaneously.

According to the Climate Data Processing Center (CDPC), Zilhaj moon is likely to be seen in Pakistan on June 19 and Eidul Azha may fall on June 29 (Thursday).

The CDPC report says the Ziljhaj moon will be born on June 18 at 9.37pm. It is highly likely that Zilhaj will begin on June 20. However, the final announcement will be made by the committee.
