Federal Minister Asad Umar loses his temper after taking wrong seat on plane

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar on Friday lost his temper and left the Islamabad to Karachi Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight after the crew members pointed it out to him that he had taken a wrong seat, on Saturday.

The federal minister sat on seat No 11 without reading the boarding pass he was issued at the airport.

And when the crew members brought to his knowledge that as per the boarding pass he was supposed to sit on seat No 13, and not 11, he got furious and started scolding them.

“You are not doing a favour to me. I have paid for this ticket. You have been disturbing me for the last one hour,” Asad reportedly said to the crew members, and left the plane. In a fit of fury, he even left the plane only to be brought back by the PIA staff which implored him to change his mind.

But even after returning to the plane, the minister refused to take seat No 13. Resultantly, the crew members allotted him seat No 12.

Members of the National Assembly Ameenul Haq and Abdul Qadir Patel, who were also on board the same flight, kept looking at the federal minister with awe.
