First round of competitive exams held

KABUL: The first round of the competitive exams for the contract-based jobs for the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing was held in Kabul.

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MUDH) in a statement said the first round of the examinations was organized as part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Urban Development and Housing Minister Syed Sadat Mansoor Naderi and the Head of the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Independent Commission Nader Naderi.

The announcement for the jobs was made through the ACBAR organization where more than 31 thousand applications and Resumes were received, the statement.

MUDH said the applications and resumes were automatically reviewed through an electronically administered system where around 4,100 applicants were shortlisted for the examinations based on their educational background and work experience.

The first round of the examinations was organized on Tuesday and Wednesday in Polytechnic University of Kabul, MUDH said, adding that the applicants will compete for 635 contract-based jobs in the ministry.

The ministry also added that it is committed to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a transparent way with the support of the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Independent Commission.
