Horse trading in Senate election: Siraj demands Apex Court action

BUNER: Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan Chief Senator Sirajul Haq has said that Supreme Court of Pakistan needs to take notice of the horse trading in the recent senate elections.

This he said while talking to media persons at the residence of JI Youth leader Mohammad Abass in Pir Baba on Monday. Sirajul Haq claimed only Jammat can make sure transparent elections of Mushtaq Ahmed Khan as Senator without purchasing single vote for him. The newly elected Senator and Provincial Amir of JI Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, district chapter general secretary Mohammad Haleem and secretary information Aminur Rashed also attended.

Siraj alleged that rest of the parties was indulged in nefarious dealing of sale and purchase in the elections. Sirajul Haq repeated this time Senate Elections got bad name for the political parties and Senators.

He elaborated the political parties parliamentarians in dozens sold out their vote and the candidates for Senate Elections purchased single vote against rupees more than four hundred million. About restoration of the Muttahida Majlasi Aamal, Sirajul Haq said the unity among religious parties will satisfy the worried Muslims of Pakistan.

He continued to say the fellow Muslims will realize that restoration of the MMA was mandatory adding it is a unity the religious parties since 2002 but there was an interval in its revival and this time the MMA is stronger and will prove its strength in the upcoming general elections. In response to a question, Sirajul Haq assured that MMA is not an electoral alliance rather it is unity of religious parties and this unity will show its sustainability in the long run too.

He in his address to the participants of the engagement function told the Jamaat-e-Islami is considering youth as dynamic power for change and the Jamaat is eager to united them, guide them, empower them to bring positive change in the country and to establish an Islamic Welfare State.
