Imran Khan sent notice to pay luxury tax on Zaman Park house

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has sent a notice to PTI Chairman Imran Khan for paying luxury tax on his Zaman Park house.

According to Excise and Taxation Department, Imran Khan got the notice on Monday to pay Rs1.44 million tax.

The Department said first they set May 14 last date to pay the tax but it was not responded. Now they have sent another notice and May 22 (today) was the last day to pay the luxury tax.

The Department further divulged that Imran Khan’s Zaman Park house was an old one but it was reconstructed anew and the Department had also sought its record last month.

Today is the last day to pay the luxury tax, otherwise another notice as per law will be issued to the former prime minister, the Department said, adding the house could be sealed if the luxury tax was not paid.
