ISPR: Security forces kill notorious TTP commander in N Waziristan operation

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Armed Forces have killed Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) commander Safiullah wanted for gunning down Frontier Works Organization (FWO) engineers and four women of vocational training institute in Mirali in North Waziristan tribal district.

The security forces conducted intelligence based operation in North Waziristan that killed the TTP commander.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major Gen Babar Ifthikhar said in a statement that troops conducted an operation and killed the TTP commander who had gunned down four NGO women and engineers of FWO.

Army spokesperson said that SAfiullah was also wanted in Saifullah was also wanted in IED attacks and kidnappings for ransom.

“Security forces also seized a large quantity of ammunition during the operation,” the ISPR statement reads.

In February this year, masked terrorists shot dead four women vocational trainers and injured their driver near Mirali in North Waziristan tribal district in a brazen daylight attack.

Local Police had said a vehicle carrying five women was driving through a village near Mirali when the gunmen opened fire on it, killing four of them on the spot.

The slain trainers were identified as Naheed Bibi, Irshad Bibi, Ayesha Bibi, and Javeria Bibi. They belonged to the nearby Bannu district.
