ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Monday said during a media talk in Islamabad that efforts would continue against the incompetent government until the people got rid of it.

The JUI-F chief said that the whole history of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was filled with contradictions. “Today, even their [the government’s] own parliamentarians are not happy with them,” he added.

The JUI-F chief, who is also the head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), pointed out that it was not horse-trading for the government when the parliamentarians were ‘brought in plane’ to announce their allegiance to the government.

“But, today, when all these parliamentarians are leaving them [the government], the opposition is blamed for doing horse-trading,” he deplored.

To a question, Fazl said that his party had a plan to organise a peaceful public meeting on Shahra-e-Dastoor in Islamabad.

“You saw our public meetings in the federal capital earlier. No flowerpot had been broken. No leaf had been plucked. We do not hurt people. We do not block ambulances. Our character is very clear. We are not the ones who cause rumpus,” he stated.
