KP to be cradle of peace, harmony: Manzoor Afridi

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Labor, Excise and Taxation Haji Manzoor Khan Afridi has said that his government will not only make fool-proof arrangements for conducting free, transparent and fair elections, but for this purpose, congenial and favorable atmosphere based on peace and harmony will be ensured according to mandate of his caretaker government so that the people are enabled to elect their representatives as per their choice and desire in a calm and free environment, he added.

This he said while talking with dignitaries and media representatives during his first visit to his native Khyber district after assuming the portfolio of his ministry.

During the visit, former Member of National Assembly Alhaj Shah Ji Gul and other tribal leaders gave him a warm welcome while his uncle and former Senator Haji Muhammad Shah Khan and Caretaker Provincial Minister for Relief, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Taj Muhammad Afridi were also present on the occasion.

During the visit, Haji Manzoor Afridi also visited Tut Dand, Jhansi, Spin Qabr, Sepah, Bar Qamberkhel, Sur kas, Alam Godar and Bara Bazar areas of Tehsil Bara.

Addressing the public gatherings on this occasion, he assured the people that not only Tehsil Bara and Khyber District but the entire province including all the merged districts will be made the cradle of peace.

He reiterated his determination that good governance will be ensured in the province.
