Minister share suggestions with Deputy PM to promote higher education sector

KABUL (Agencies): The Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in a meeting with Sheikh Nada Mohammad Nadeem, Acting Minister of Higher Education, heard the suggestions on the promotions of the educational situation in the country.
According to a statement, the meeting also discussed incomplete projects of the Ministry of Higher Education and their placement in the budget of the fiscal year 1402, the increase in the future academic and administrative formation of that ministry, support for the increase in the salaries of professors and some other issues.
The issue of providing better topics to professors with doctoral degrees, the purpose of forming specialized departments in the universities of the zones, the exemption of professors from paying master’s and doctoral program fees, and the salary plan for master’s and doctoral programs was discussed.
The meeting also discussed the job creation for new graduates and dedicating the budget for research programs, inventions, and innovations of the universities in 1402, added to the statement.
