Mushaal urges UN to take action against Modi govt’s inhuman steps in IIOJK

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation and wife of illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take urgent actions against inhuman steps by Modi-led fascist Indian government in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Mushaal Mullick talking to media in Islamabad said that extremist Hindutva ideology being propagated by the Indian government was posing a grave threat to regional peace. She said that the Indian troops were targeting juveniles and using rape as a weapon to suppress the Kashmir freedom movement.

There is a humanitarian crisis in Kashmir and the United Nations must come forward and put pressure on India to stop atrocities in the occupied territory, she demanded. The world’s criminal silence over the Kashmir dispute is posing a serious threat to regional peace, she added.

The PCO Chairperson appealed to the world human right bodies to send a fact-finding mission to ascertain facts about the deteriorating human rights situation and plight of the Kashmiri political prisoners in jails of India and IIOJK.

Mushaal Mullick said that the international community should play its role in early release of all illegally detained Kashmiri political prisoners, adding that India would not succeed to suppress the Kashmiris’ genuine freedom movement through the use of brute force.

“The current situation in IIOJK is the worst in recent history where people have been deprived of their fundamental rights, including right to life, food, health, freedom of expression and assembly,” she deplored.

She said Kashmiris will fight for their right to self-determination till last breath, adding, India has been denying the birthright to the Kashmiri people for the last more than seven decades, in violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions.
