Muttaqi meets Deputy PM of Kazakhstan

KABUL (Agencies): The Country’s Acting of Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Trade and Integration, Serik Zhumangarin of Kazakhstan in Kabul.
Receiving Mr. Zhumangarin Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi thanked their assistance in the sector of trade and humanitarian assistance, called Kazakhstan is a trade partner of Afghanistan.
FM Muttaqi said that better investment opportunities have been provided in Afghanistan, in many sectors that Kazakh businessmen can invest.
In this meeting, Muttaqi mentioned reaching the volume of trade between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan about to $900 million, he called further cooperation to increase this measure of trade.
Meanwhile, Muttaqi asked the Kazakh side to facilitate the process of issuing visas to Afghan businessmen. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Trade of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zhumangarin said that a group of Kazakhstan businessmen lately traveled to Kabul to expand business ties with Kabul.
He vowed that his country will continue delivering humanitarian aid to needy families in the future.
Zhumangarin said that Kazakhstan is willing to boost trade ties, mainly in the sector of transit with Afghanistan which is a common need of both sides.
In the end, Foreign Minister Muttaqi, reminded saying that the Afghan government is balanced and economy-oriented, and regional transit and connectivity through Afghanistan are among the priorities of Afghanistan’s foreign policy.
