Nawaz put national security at risk by disclosing national secrets: Firdous

SIALKOT: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has put national security at stake by disclosing national secrets.

She said that Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan during a visit to Maskan Old Home in Sialkot. Awan took a jibe at Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Safdar stressing that your anxiety will continue to rise as we ensure rule of law.

She criticized Maryam Safdar to have utilized facilities illegally at her behest in the past and now was finding it hard to adhere and live under the ambit of law.

‘We understand your trepidation and the reasons for attacking PM Khan,’ she added.

Lashing out, Firdous stressed that time has come for you to live under the law.

Later on addressing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers at an Eid Milan Party she payed tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan for the budget cut and emphasized that state institutions are for the masses and other organs of state will also have to follow suit.

She questioned Maryam Safdar over her claims that no corruption charges have been proven against her father. Every prisoner including Nawaz Sharif is equal before law.

‘What gold medal has Nawaz Sharif won? Why is he in jail if not for corruption?’ she added.
