Non-bailable arrest warrants of ex-CDA chief issued

ISLAMABAD (APP): An Accountability Court (AC) on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants against two accused including former chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Farkhand Iqbal in a reference pertaining to illegal allotment of plots.

AC-II Judge Muhammad Azam Khan, hearing the case, expressed annoyance over the continuous absence of Farkhand Iqbal and rejected his request for one-day exemption of hearing.

The court noted that the accused had not been appearing before the judge in last four or five hearings. It said that the court had issued arrest warrants on last hearing but still the accused didn’t bother to appear before court.

After this, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against accused Farkhand Iqbal and Latif Abid. The hearing of the case then adjourned till July 5.
