NYO protest against killing of tribal youths in Karachi

KHAR: Awami National Party (ANP), sub organization National Youth Organization (NYO), protested against the recent killing of Ahmad Shah, Ihsan Uddin, Naqeeb Ullah and Aftab Mehsud. Protest in front of Bajaur Press Club continues on seventh day as the protesters were demanding of killers to be arrested. Workers of NYO and Pakhtun Students Federation chant slogans against the government.

NYO Bajaur chapter president Javed Rahman, senior vice president Ishaq, Umar Khitab, Izhar Uddin and ANP Tehsil Salarzai chapter president Malik Fazal Subhan addressed the gathering. The speakers said that protest will be continue until the government has not arrest the killers of Ihsan-u-Din , Ahmad Shah, Naqeeb Ullah and Aftab Mehsud.

The speakers criticized Sindh and KP Governments for their failure in arresting of killers. They said that recent incidents are conspiracy against Pakistan. Javeed Rahman criticized PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari upon their comments against Pakhtun community and said that Pakhtun community has played vital role in building of Karachi city.

Meanwhile, the people of Top Mandal area of Bajaur Agency staged a protest demonstration over lack of a linking bridge in the area. The protesters said Top Mandal area has a population of 6,000 and it is situated just five kilometres away from Khar, the headquarters of Bajaur Agency, but they can’t take their patients to hospital in time due to lack of any linking bridge in the area. They said the students cannot go to school in the event of flood.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Saleem Khan said the elected parliamentarians from Bajaur have been failed to provide basic facilities to the masses due to which they have been left with the last option of lodging protest.

The protesters said they will stage agitation in Khar if their demands were not accepted. They dispersed peacefully after the political administration assured them that their genuine demands will be accepted.
