PHC seeks explanation against troubles facing by tribal distts locals after FCR

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court bench on Friday has sent notices to provincial government and federal government seeking explanation against the difficulties and troubles facing to tribal districts locals after the abolished of Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR).

A reference is filed in the PHC in which they mentioned that after merging of FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa those agencies are changed into districts of KP and FCR is abolished. Those decisions which was done by FCR now here is no any policy for those decisions.

They further mentioned that the political administration has lost that authorities of their courts for tribal districts and also there is no any clearance for those appeals which the locals of tribal’s have pleaded to FCR commissioner against the political court decision.  

They further added in the reference that in the tribal districts the anti-terrorism court is not yet established while there are more cases of terrorism in tribal districts.

The PHC bench issued notices to federal government and provincial government and asked explanation through attorney general Pakistan regarding the issue. The court will be fixed on 19 March for next hearing.

Meanwhile, Peshawar High Court bench on Friday has issued arrest warrant of assistant commissioner Kurram against for not appearing in the court.

Single member bench comprising on chief justice Waqar Ahmed Seth heard the case.

 During arguments lawyer for the petitioner told to the court that petitioner father Nazeem Shah was arrested by Kurram political administration before FATA merging and there is no kind of allegation on the accused while he was arrested in his kin case.

Chief justice asked from additional advocate general Waqar Ahmed who was appeared in the court that why AC Kurram  is not appearing in the court while he replied that we have informed him three time but AC did not replied. After the arguments the court has issued arrest warrant for AC Kurram.
