PHC stops arrest of Sher Afzal Marwat till 11th

PESHAWAR: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprised Justice Abdul Shakoor and Justice Syed Arshad Ali stopped police from arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader as well as Imran Khan lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat advocate while ordering Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for submission of record till 11th November, on Wednesday.
PTI’s chairman lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat advocate appeared before PHC and argued for provision of record of cases registered against him across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. PTI’s leader added that he didn’t aware regarding nature and numbers of cases registered against him.
The petitioner Sher Afzal argued to stop police from his arrest till provision of record of all cases registered against him Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PHC’s divisional bench comprised Justice Abdul Shakoor and Justice Syed Arshad Ali stopped police from arrest of Sher Afzal Marwart advocate till 11th November while ordered Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for provision of regard.
PHC orders provision of health benefit: PHC’s divisional bench comprising of Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Shakeel Ahmad ordered provision of Rs4 lac to Pump Operator named Musawir Gul at Public Health Engineering Department as health benefits for treatment.
The counsel Ayesha Malak advocate argued that Musawir Gul is public servant while attack by cardiac arrest at Hayatabad and treated at Rehman Medical Institute which has cost Rs4 lac but department had denied provision of medical benefits. The counsel further argued that obtaining medical benefit is constitutional and legal right of the petitioner.
PHC divisional bench comprised Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Shakeel Ahmad ordered provision of health benefits immediately to Musawir Gul a pump operator at Public Health Engineering.
Meanwhile, Additional Session Judge Peshawar Syed Badshah rejected bail plea of the alleged Ice-Drug smuggler and ordered to be put behind bars. According to prosecution, Ahmad was arrested along 515 grams of Ice-drug in the premises of Shahpur police station and registered First Information Report under Anti-narcotics Act. The alleged smuggler Ahmad approached Session Court for bail while ASJ rejected the plea and ordered to put him behind bars after conclusion of arguments.
