PPP senator vows to work for masses

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People Party (PPP) newly elected Senator Bhermand Khan Tangi on Saturday vowed to continue his endeavors for welfare and prosperity of masses and to serve the community in light of manifesto of his party.

Though, he thanked his party leadership for reposing confidence in him for being elected as Senator from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while representing PPP. Mr Tangi has dedicated his recent success in the Senate election to the continuous support from PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former president Asif Ali Zardari, MPAs in the Provincial Assemblies for voting in favor of him and loyal party workers.

He said this while speaking at a news conference at Peshawar press club.

He stated that he was advised by party leadership to stay in Islamabad but he refused his suggestion and preferred to stay in Peshawar to work as ordinary party worker for the welfare of general masses.

Flanked by the PPP MPA Ziaullah Afridi and other party workers, he said that PPP always gives respect and courage to his ordinary party workers as is evident in his election for the Senator ship.

He also appreciated the services rendered by the PPP MPA Ziaullah Afridi in the recent senate election.
