FAISALABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressing public rally in connection with the election campaign of the PPP in Tandlianwala, Faisalabad said that the party will form the federal government as well as the Punjab government.
Chairman Bilawal said that he is delighted to be among the jiyalas of the Party in Punjab. Some forces were under the impression that by martyring Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto they can eliminate the PPP and will be able to crush the poor and stop your way. “I want to give the message to them that we are not the ones who bow down and retreat”, Chairman Bilawal said. We are the ones who are ready to contest against all the political forces and prove that the Bhutto of Punjab is still alive and we will snatch back our rights. We will save the people from the anti-poor, anti-grower and anti-people parties that have been imposed in Punjab.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that we are witnessing unprecedented poverty, inflation and unemployment today. When the Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto came to power, he became the prime minister of the poor, labourers, growers and youth. When Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto became the first ever woman prime minister of the Muslim Ummah, it was the credit of Faisalabad that she was the PM of the poor, growers, labourers and the people. We once again have to form a similar government in Lahore and Islamabad. Once again, a jiyala will be the chief minister and the prime minister.
Bilawal asked for the support of the people to form an Awami government. “If you support us the way you had supported Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, we will once again tackle poverty, inflation and unemployment”, Chairman PPP said. Only the PPP can do it as rest of the parties are settling their personal vendettas and are contesting the elections to either avoid jail or to come out of the jail. We are contesting to save the people from poverty and unemployment. Other political parties do not have a manifesto. We have the manifesto of Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who gave us an ideology. We have a 10-point economic agenda for the people and if we come to power with your support then we will implement this agenda. Chairman Bilawal directed the workers to go to every door and tell the people about this agenda. He instructed them to deliver the Party’s message. We will provide 300 units of electricity to poor people of the country free-of-cost. We will provide free education, and establish universities meeting international standards.
We will provide free and international standard health facility to every citizen like we have done in Sindh. People have to go abroad for treatment but that will not be the case when we come to power since we aim to provide free health facilities meeting international standards.
Bilawal urged the women workers to go to every doorstep and apprise the people of our plan to extend the BISP and introduce other features along with it. The people need to know that we are following the footsteps of Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam who gave the 5-marla scheme and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who gave 7-marla scheme, and resolving to provide three million houses to the poor people of Pakistan. The ownership of those houses will be given to the women of the households. We will also regularise temporary housing all over Punjab and give the residents ownership. During the recent catastrophic floods, we looked after our poor people and in Sindh we are constructing two million houses for the poor families. The ownership of those houses is being given to the women. If we can do this in Sindh then we can do in Punjab as well, Chairman Bilawal resolved. We will introduce the “Benazir Kissan Card” and financial help will be given directly to the poor growers instead of big factories. We will introduce the “Benazir Mazdoor Card” to provide the labourers their rights. This will be given to every labour whether working in factories or elsewhere.
Bilawal instructed the jiyalas to tell the youth that they must not waste their vote and this right of vote was given by the Quaid-e-Awam. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for this right of vote and fought the dictators. If you want a government headed by a PM who is also from within the youth, and for your issues to be resolved, then the PPP is the sole option, Chairman PPP said.
