Provision of reserve seats: PHC adjourns hearing

PESHAWAR: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprising of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice SM Attique Shah adjourned hearing on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) plea for provision of reserve seats due to unavailability of the lawyer, on Tuesday.

During hearing the lawyer Shah Faisal advocate informed that on Monday PTI backed newly elected independent lawmakers had join a political party. He claimed that PTI didn’t provided any directions to him after the new development.

The counsel informed that senior lawyer Qazi Anwar is in Islamabad and requested to fix the plea for hearing tomorrow (on Wednesday). However, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim observed that it isn’t possible because other cases are fixed for hearing for tomorrow (today/ Wednesday).

The plea is fixed for hearing on request of PTI, Justice SM Attique Shah remarked. He further observed that PTI may file early hearing plea to Additional Registrar if necessary. PHC’s divisional bench comprised of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice SM Attique Shah adjourned hearing due to unavailability of senior lawyer.
