PSQCA to play role for enhancing trade

KARACHI: The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) a National Standards Body is committed to play its multi dimensional role of enhancing the competitiveness of local industry and trade for the optimum benefits of the business groups/ entrepreneurs, consumers and the country as a whole.

Quality standards are necessary to which a product, device, service, environment or facility is used by as many people as possible. This was stated by Dr. Abdul Aleem Memon, Director General-PSQCA during meeting with Andrei Metelitsa, Ambassador of Belarus and Ilya Kanaplion, Counsellor at PSQCA-Complex, Karachi.
On arrival, Dr. Abdul Aleem Memon, Director General-PSQCA welcomed Andrei Metelitsa, and Ilya Kanaplion. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between PSQCA-Pakistan and the State Committee for Standardization-Belarus. Delegates discussed on Action Plan on Implementation Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the fields of Standardization and Information Support, Halal certification and other topics of mutual interest.
The Director General PSQCA said the international standardization ISO, IEC contribute significantly to strengthen accessibility in the field of Standardization and information support. The PSQCA has formed many Technical Committees for Standardization.
