PTI announces boycott of joint session of parliament

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), which earlier had plans to register strong protest against the coalition government at the joint session of the parliament to be held later today, has now said it will boycott rather than attending the session, on Thursday.

Quoting its sources, the channel reported that the party senators had been told by the party’s high command not to attend today’s session. 

They disclosed that the senators had even the got the banners bearing slogans, imported hukoomat na manzoor’ (imported government not acceptable) ready, and the party Chairman Imran Khan had even held consultations with President Arif Alvi over that, but later he changed his mind.
