PTI considers alliance with JI for Karachi mayorship

LAHORE: Following the results of the second phase of local government elections in Sindh, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan started considering an alliance with the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for Karachi mayorship.

According to local news channel report, PTI Chairman Imran Khan has summoned the provincial leadership of Sindh to Lahore for consultation on the issue of poor results in LG polls and an alliance with the JI.

the PTI sources said the party’s key leaders chapter Haleem Adil Shaikh and Imran Ismail have demanded Imran Khan to step down Ali Zaidi from the provincial presidency of Sindh.

The party sources said Imran Khan is angry with the PTI Sindh leadership over local body election results.

The PTI sources also said that the option of alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami will also be considered in the meeting with the Sindh leadership.
