PTI govt flayed for poor governance

PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) provincial chairman and former senior minister Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao had rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Pakistan (PTI) government’s deal with International Monetary Fund (IMF) and called the agreement a “a complete sell-out of the country sovereignty, added that a joint voice should be raised on the assembly floors to reverse the anti people agreement.

Addressing at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, He flayed that the incompetent government had led the country on the brink of economic disaster due to lack of vision and prudent leadership.

QWP leader criticized the agreement and demanded the government to brief the parliament over the conditions of the deal. He said that on ill terms and conditions the government was pledging Pakistan and its institutions towards the destructions.

He warned that they would resist the government’s anti-people policies, added that the the government has left the people at IMF’s mercy.

He said that government didn’t take parliament and nation in confidence prior to availing of bailout package from IMF, which is strongly condemnable. He said that those claiming to bring change have only given inflation to the people.

QWP leader said Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has shown his ineligibility by handing over the country to IMF for only $6 billion.

Sikandar said that those claiming of breaking begging bowl have made nation a beggar, while referring to PTI chairman and Prime Minister Imran Khan ‘pre-elections’ promises. He added that PTI had made life of common man miserable instead of providing any relief to them.

Talking prior to the passage of 26th amendment said that his party always supported giving due rights to the people tribal areas, who had suffered a lot during the war on terror.

He observed that the people of tribal areas had given numerous sacrifices for the country and now all the provinces would take part in healing their wounds and development of the war torn areas.
