JACOBABAD: Six policemen were martyred in an encounter with robbers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Moladad in Jacobabad on Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samir Chana said police chased the robbers to the Jacobabad area. The suspects opened fire at the policemen as a result of which three officers were martyred on the spot and three others lost their lives during treatment of the fatal bullet wounds.
Three officials were also injured in the encounter, he added.
The SSP said the martyred officers include Inspector Tayyab Imrani, Nisar, Khadim Hussain, Riaz Hussain and Wahab.
