WASHINGTON: President of United States, Donald Trump has appreciated the Saudi Arabia crackdown against its own ministers and royals for their alleged involvement in corruption.
Trump said this on his twitter account on Monday. The recent comments from the President Trump cemented the relationship between the two countries as it was dramatically improved under the Trump presidency.
Trump added that he has complete confidence in King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Salman after they started crackdown against the elite class of royal family and it is step towards the modern Saudi Arabia.
The critics claimed that the recent carried out by King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman is steps to gain more power for himself at home and silent the opponents by arresting them in corruption cases.
US official told international news agency Reuters that Muhammad Bin Salman is the real driver of Saudi policy making and he aggressively sideline the opponents and trying to establish himself at the undisputed heir of the Al-Saud legacy.
