Two men arrested for rape attempt on 15-years-old girl

CHARSADDA: Police arrested two men who allegedly attempted to rape a girl in her home in jurisdiction of Police Station Prang on Thursday.

Ayesha, a 15 years old girl complaint to police, “previous day in a broad light two identified men namely Azam and Asif pass over on the boundary wall when she was alone at her home at 12:15”.

“The accused undressed me by force, I put up resistance and cried out loud, prompting the neighbors to rush her house and rescued me but no one listen my howl, thanks God! Meanwhile the earthquake jolted and managed to flee due to fear”, she told to media.

Prang police registered a case against the suspect and launched a search operation to arrest him. Police stated the accused track record as thug and arrested on charges of attempting rape on a minor. Nazir Khan, Superintendent of Police (SP) investigation held a press conference and told to media that the victim girl’s medical report is cleared and she is in stable condition.

He said keep the sensitivity of crime IG KP directed to Charsadda Police to immediately arrest the culprit within 24 hours, and police succeed. SP investigation said the perpetrator has been charged under the PPC- 375, 452, 345, 511, 34 and 50 which means they could face life imprisonment. “The attack adds to a grim record of sexual assaults on 30 women include children in last six years in district Charsadda”, Child Protection and Welfare Commission report claimed.
