MOSCOW (TASS): On Sunday, UTair Aviation took over 100 UN employees from Kabul to Almaty on its second flight in a week. This was reported to reporters in the press service of the company.
“On August 18, UTair operated a Moscow – Kabul – Almaty flight to evacuate 137 UN employees from Afghanistan. On August 22, another export flight took place along the Almaty – Kabul – Almaty route, which evacuated 108 UN employees. After that, the UTair aircraft returned to Moscow, “the message says.
The press service clarified that the flight was carried out on a long-haul Boeing 767 as part of the aviation support provided to UN missions by the company for more than 25 years. “To carry out flights to Kabul,” UTair “in the shortest possible time received permission from the aviation authorities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan,” they explained.
