WhatsApp to launch two new features

CALIFORNIA: WhatsApp, a Meta-owned messaging site, has been working on treating its users to many new features in its next update, WABetainfo reported.

Per the report, one of the new features will allow users to be able to react to messages, just like they do on Facebook and Instagram. That aside, users will be able to group all communities together in the community tab.

Reaction to messages

WhatsApp is already set to introduce a feature that will allow users to react to messages quickly and view reactions to their messages in its. The feature has been developed but the company is yet to roll it out to users.

The messaging platform has introduced another way for users to react to messages, which includes pressing the message until the message menu appears. A menu will pop up, showing different options, including “react to message.”

WhatsApp is also working on an animation that, in the new update, will allow the reaction emoji to pop up on the message.

Community tab

WABetainfo further said that WhatsApp is also introducing a new community feature that will be available in a future update.

As seen in WhatsApp beta for Android, the camera tab will be replaced by a community tab.

When users click on the community tab, they will be able to see all the communities they are a part of.

“Group admins are able to add their groups in communities, private end-to-end places that contain specific groups,” WABetainfo reported.

Earlier, it was announced that WhatsApp is working to roll out a new “big” feature that will allow the users to conduct polls in group chats on the platform in a future update, WABetainfo reported.

With the future update, users can ask for their friends’ opinions through polling within a WhatsApp group chat.
