Women entrepreneurs says new business gained from exhibition

KABUL (TOLOnews): The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Women, on the last day of the Khadija-tul Kubra exhibition, said that nearly 80 contracts and 12 memorandums of understanding were signed between women entrepreneurs and institutions. Facilitating the sharing of experiences and offering advice to women entrepreneurs were among the goals of the exhibition.

“Of course, the whole purpose of the Khadija-tul Kubra exhibition was to unite businesswomen, and at the same time, they displayed their products from 34 provinces in Afghanistan,” said Salma Yusufi, head of the chamber. Some women who participated in the exhibition said holding such exhibitions is beneficial in marketing their products.

“Fortunately, many facilities have been given to women from provinces and also the center from the address of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, who can quickly and easily sell the goods that are available in Afghanistan through their websites and channels, available to outsiders,” said Fatima, a participant.

“The exhibition was the best program for women entrepreneurs who want to start a business,” said Basira, a participant. Businesswomen called for the support of the Islamic Emirate. “Our request to the Islamic Emirate is to provide more facilities to women in the field and to continue their cooperation,” said Sadaf, a participant. In the exhibition, more than 800 businesswomen from 34 provinces displayed their products and creations.
