22 Taliban militants killed, wounded: 205th Atal Corps

KABUL: At least twenty two Taliban militants were killed or wounded during the operations of the Afghan armed forces in southern Uruzgan, Kandahar, and Zabul provinces.

The 205th Atal Corps in a statement said the operations were conducted in the framework of Khalid-98 operations.

The statement further added that 11 militants belonging to Mullah Sakhidad and Mullah Ghulam Rasool groups were killed in deh Joi Barekzai and Alizai Kali of Uruzgan district and two of their hideouts were destroyed.

At least two Taliban militants were killed in a separate operation conducted in Maiwand district of Kandahar province, the 205th Atal Corps said, adding that four others were also wounded.

The 205th Atal Corps also added that two militants were killed in a similar operation conducted in Chino area of Shahjoi district of Zabul province and three others were wounded.

The Afghan armed forces also discovered and defused seven improvised explosive devices during the same operations. (Khaama Press)
