Acting Minister of Public Health stresses on standard health services during Balkh visit

KABUL (BNA): During his visit to Balkh, the Acting Minister of Public Health, Dr. Qalandar Ebad, met with the province’s governor, Muhammad Yusuf Wafa.
The purpose of Dr. Ebad’s visit was to inspect the services of public health departments and government hospitals in the northern zone, listen to the concerns and requests of professional and specialized doctors, and provide assurances to all personnel in various areas.
Dr. Ibad highlighted that in the past twenty years, the health sector in the northern zone had been neglected and services were not extended to remote districts. However, with the establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, health services have been provided to all provinces and remote districts of
the country.
He emphasized that following the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Public Health and provincial departments should strive to provide standard health services to every corner of the nation.
The governor of Balkh welcomed Dr. Ebad and his delegation, expressing gratitude for their visit to the northern zone to understand the challenges and demands of the public health departments, and to work towards resolving these issues to improve services.
He requested additional focus on the Balkh Regional Hospital.
