Black money to be whitened through amnesty scheme: JI

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-i-Islami provincial chief senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has said the Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted to whiten the black money of the looters and corrupt industrialists through an amnesty scheme in the country.

He was addressing a workers’ convention at Gadar Adenzai here on Thursday. The function was also addressed by the JI provincial deputy chief Noor ul Haq, Tehsil emir Syed Sultanat Yar, advocate Attaullah and Tehsil chairman candidate Azizullah Khan.

Mushtaq Khan said the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf government had ruined the national economy and its foreign policy due to inefficient and inexperienced leadership. He said the affairs of the state were being run on the dictation of foreign masters. He alleged the government was weakening the country through passing the black laws like the PECA amendment. The JI senator said the corruption and inflation graphs were rising with the passage of time. He said the green Pakistani passport had been disrespected in the world.

The senator said that people were neither provided with justice nor basic needs. Criticizing the opposition parties he said that both the PML-N and PPP had been facilitating the rulers. He asked the voters of Lower Dir to vote for the JI as it was the only political party that wanted to bring a real change in society and serve the poor communities.

Later on Mushtaq Ahmad Khan also addressed the JI monthly congregation held at the Ahya ul Uloom Balambat which was attended by hundreds of the party workers and local leadership. He said the JI was a popular party in Malakand division but its mandate was stolen during the 2018 general elections. He said the JI would win most of the seats in Malakand division during the LB polls to be held on March 31. He asked the party workers to expedite their election campaign and reach out to every nook and corner of the district and convince the voters to vote for his party.
